About Us

Our manufacturing plant, main offices and warehouse operate from a 52,000 square foot facility in Haltom City, Texas. Additional distribution, customer service and sales offices are located in Dallas, Austin, San Antonio and Houston. Tex-Air Filters supports over 135,000 filter changes per month across a wide range of institutional and commercial facilities, giving our team strong real-world experience.

Tex-Air produces pleated filters including MERV 10, MERV 11, Carbon and MERV 13 in one inch, two inch and four-inch sizes. We also supply metal filters for kitchens, fresh air intakes and other commercial applications. In addition, we build custom filters for machinery protection, construction, OEM, paint booths, computer protection and telecommunications systems.

The principals of the company, including Chairman Jim Rosenthal, President Stevan Brown, Dallas and Houston Regional Manager Benny Aycoth and Central Texas Regional Manager Patrick Rosenthal, are Certified Air Filter Specialists through the National Air Filtration Association. Tex-Air also employs thirteen additional certified specialists. This level of experience and technical training allows us to deliver reliable filtration solutions for complex commercial environments.

Jim Rosenthal

Jim is a co-founder of Air Relief Technologies, Inc., the parent company of Tex-Air Filters. He has been in the air filtration industry since 1997 and is a Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) from the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA), where he served as President in 2010. He is very involved in the air filtration industry, frequently contributing to industry and professional publications on filtration, indoor air quality and environmental controls for allergy and asthma. Jim received his BA from Colorado College and his Masters from the University of Pittsburgh. As an undergraduate, he also attended the Netherlands School of Business. In 2024 he received an Honorary Doctor of Science degree from Colorado College in recognition for his contributions to helping provide cleaner and safer indoor air during the pandemic. He is currently a voting member of the ASHRAE 52.2 Committee on air filter test standards. He is also the President of the Non-Profit Corsi-Rosenthal Foundation and participates in a number of other national and local organizations.

Stevan Brown

Stevan is a co-founder of Air Relief Technologies, Inc., the parent company of Tex-Air Filters. He has been in the air filtration industry since 1997 and is a Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) from the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA). He is also a NAFA Certified Technician (NCT), an NCT II, which includes certification in the installation of HEPA filters, and holds a Texas HVAC License – TACLA023325C. Stevan received his BS from the University of Texas at San Antonio and his Masters from Texas Christian University.

Benny Aycoth

Benny began with Tex-Air Filters in 2007 and is now the Dallas/Houston Regional Manager. He brings to this role over 30 years of invaluable experience in the filtration industry. As a Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) accredited by the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA).

His proficiency encompasses a wide range of HVAC filtration applications, including schools, commercial buildings, and medical facilities.

Renowned for his exceptional customer service, Benny is dedicated to meeting and exceeding his clients’ filtration needs. His commitment to excellence is evident in the personalized attention and care he provides to each customer, fostering long-term relationships built on trust and satisfaction.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Benny is also deeply committed to his local community. He actively participates in community contributing his time and expertise to support those around him. His engagement in community service reflects his dedication to making a positive impact both professionally and personally.

Patrick Rosenthal

Patrick founded the Austin branch of Tex-Air Filters in 2007 and serves as the Regional Manager for Central Texas. Tex-Air in Central Texas services all industries with specialization in HVAC contractors, manufacturing, commercial office spaces and the government sector.

Having spent seven years on the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) board, he is now serving as the 2024 President. He is dual certified as both a Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) and NAFA Certified Technician (NCT).

A proud alumnus of the University of Texas, Patrick holds a BA in History with a minor in Business Foundations. Under his leadership, Tex-Air Filters is expanding their customer base, delivering quality, reliability and innovation.

Dara started as a filter technician at the Austin branch in 2012 while attending school at The University of Texas as Austin. He has been the San Antonio Branch Manager since April of 2017.

He is a Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) and a NAFA Certified Technician Level 1 (NCT) from the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA) and also a member of RSES San Antonio Chapter. He is very passionate about helping to provide the best indoor air quality for all customers. Playing and teaching tennis is one of his many hobbies. He is one of four siblings. He is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Khmer. Dara holds a BA from the University of Texas.

Anthony Thomas

Anthony joined the TAF Dallas team in 2016, and in 2021 he opened our Houston location as the Branch Manager. Having spent 6 years in the United States Army he brings invaluable skills to our team such as leadership, adaptability, attention to detail, conflict resolution, and strategic planning. Anthony is a Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) from the National Air Filtration Association (NAFA). He is also an active member of the Texas Air Conditioning Contractors Association of Greater Houston (TACCA-GH).

Ben Webb joined Tex-Air Filters in 2010 as a warehouse employee in our Dallas facility. Since then he has done every job from customer service, to installing filters, to driving one of the company trucks. In addition, he transitioned to a sales position in 2013. He has done all of his jobs well and uses his experience to consistently and competently help customers. Most importantly, he is able to convey his knowledge and customer focus to his fellow workers. He is a Certified Air Filter Specialist (CAFS) from the National Air Filtration Association.

Outside of his professional pursuits, Ben has a passion for sports. He enjoys watching and attending games, and he actively participates in his community by coaching youth sports in his hometown.

Lee Reffey

Lee Reffey began his career with Tex-Air Filters in 2014 as a Sales Representative. With a strong customer-focused approach, he played a key role in growing the Fort Worth customer base. In 2024, Lee expanded his responsibilities by becoming actively involved in production, inventory management, and product coordination across branches. Lee is also a Certified Air Filter Specialist through the National Air Filtration Association, demonstrating his commitment to industry excellence and professional development. His leadership and operational expertise led to his promotion to Branch and Production Manager at the start of 2025.
